General Terms & Conditions of Assyrtiko Wine Stories

These Terms and Conditions have been registered at the Chamber of Commerce under number 000041885635.

 

General


The following Terms & Conditions apply to all activities for participants, held by Assyrtiko Wine Stories.

 

Definition


The term ‘participant’ means a participant in a course. In these terms and conditions, a participant is also referred to as ‘you’. Assyrtiko Wine Stories can be referred to as ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘the teacher’.
‘Course’ means any activity of Assyrtiko Wine Stories in general, including courses, tastings, masterclasses & events. These can take place in the Netherlands or anywhere else abroad.

 

Acceptance of Terms


These Terms and Conditions are permanent available on the Assyrtiko Wine Stories website: www.assyrtikowinestories.nl. By registering on the course, the participant indicates that he or she knows and accept the Terms and Conditions.

 

Registration & Payment

 

Enrolment in a course takes place by submitting a form through our website. By doing so you are obliged to pay the total amount of the course. When you fail to fulfil your payment, we will hand over your invoice to a debt collection agency and all arising costs from this act will be at your expense.
 

Deposit

 

By means of a down payment you have been reserving a place in a course, you are therefore obliged to pay the entire course. Assyrtiko Wine Stories has the right to reject your place in a course if the entire course fee has not been paid in advance.

 

Third party registration

 

A third party which enrols someone to a course, is subject to our Terms and Conditions. The person who books is required to notify any participant who has been registered by him or her of these Terms and Conditions.

VAT 

​

All prices on our website include the VAT (BTW).
 

Cancellation policy

​

The registration for a course can be cancelled up to two working days prior to a course. In case of a full payment in advance, 25% of the registration costs will be held as administrative costs by Assyrtiko Wine Stories and will not be refunded to the participant. In case of a down payment, the full amount will be held as administrative costs by Assyrtiko Wine Stories. The participant will be informed about this on the registration form. There will be no refund of payment or down payment if the participant is unable to attend a part of the course.

The participant has the right to transfer his/her course to a different date within a calendar year, given that he/she communicates via email with Assyrtiko Wine Stories to check the availability. The participant has the right to transfer his/her course only once, a second transfer equals to cancellation of the course where the above rules apply.

During the course a participant cannot be replaced by someone else. Before a course begins, however, the participant can give his/her place to someone else, as long as he/she informs Assyrtiko Wine Stories beforehand.

Assyrtiko Wine Stories has the right to refuse a participant prior to or during the period of a course, if in the opinion of Assyrtiko Wine Stories this participation could lead to a conflict. The participant will be reimbursed depending on the course sessions he/she has already attended, excluding the aforementioned administrative costs.

If, due to force majeure, the course must be aborted by Assyrtiko Wine Stories, the paid course fee for the remaining course sessions will be refunded.

​

If the minimal number of 6 participants for a course is not obtained, Assyrtiko Wine Stories can decide to cancel the course. The participants shall be informed at least 2 working days before the start of the course. The paid amount for this course will be returned within 5 working days. If due to circumstances as stated in these General Terms and Conditions, Assyrtiko Wine Stories proceeds to refund a (partial) course fee, the deposited will only be transferred to the bank account number from which the payment was done.

 

Location and/or teacher changes

Assyrtiko Wine Stories reserves the right, in case of unforeseen circumstances, such as illness of a teacher or the unavailability of the meeting room, to change the course location before or during the course. The participant will be clearly informed about this. If a teacher is replaced no notification will be send to the participant, every teacher meets the standards of Assyrtiko Wine Stories.

No liability through loss or damage

​

Assyrtiko Wine Stories accepts no liability for damage or loss of clothing or property caused by others during the course.

 

Alcohol consumption and responsibility 

​

The teacher will never encourage immoderate alcohol consumption by participants. The wines that are served are only for tasting purpose. Assyrtiko Wine Stories is not liable for the consequences of the use of alcohol before, during and after the course. The participant himself is responsible for a reasonable alcohol consumption, especially where it concerns traffic safety and the use of medication or allergies.

 

Complaints & Questions

​

The participant is free to form a complaint or ask a question concerning the course, the material used or the teacher. This can happen through the contact form on our website or via email to hello@assyrtikowinestories.nl

​

The participant will receive an acknowledgement as soon as possible, within 7 days and Assyrtiko Wine Stories will reply to the complaint/question as soon as possible, within 14 days. 

​

Your complaint will be treated confidentially and will not be shared with third parties.
